About
Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy considers not just diet, but all aspects of an individual's current health and lifestyle, as well as family history, to uncover the root cause of ill health. Using functional testing (tests to determine how well your body is functioning) including genetic testing, and close analysis of symptoms alongside the latest scientific evidence, an experienced nutritional therapist aims to pinpoint the underlying causes of symptoms. Recommendations include food, carefully chosen supplements, meal planning, cooking advice and recipes, lifestyle advice and referrals to other practitioners. Through food and sometimes supplements, I address biochemical imbalances which may be at the root of your health issues.
For me, it's fascinating that often although the science, both in terms of the biochemistry and the properties of food, is incredibly complex, the answers can boil down to apparently simple recommendations - it’s just key that those recommendations are the right ones for the individual.
